Our Behavior Plan

I will be following the love and logic scale; however, I will be implementing a color/smile face system to help students stay on track. You will find your child’s behavior for each day marked in his or her folder daily. Please remember to initial daily so that I know you are aware of your child's behavior. Consistent yellow/red days will result in a request for parent-teacher conference.

My Behavior Chart

Purple= Great Day! I followed all the rules and expectations today!

Green = Good Day!

I followed most of the rules, but had one verbal reminder.

Yellow = An "Ok" Day!

I may have needed more than 1 reminder today; a brief discription is in my folder.

Red = Not a great day!

I did not follow expectations today, a note is in my folder.

Our Mission Statement

Learn lots each day.

Be safe when we play.

Be kind in every way.

The Rules of the Classroom Song

High-Five!

I like to recognize positive behavior and reward it. When I see someone doing something positive, they are given a "high-five." They put their "high-fives" on a paper hand with their name on it. After a child has five "high-fives", they will get to go in our class treasure box on Friday.

I understand that Kindergarten is the time when children are learning what is expected of them in "big kid" school. Your child can recieve 1 behavior reminder and still have a "green." Please remember the first few weeks of school is a transitional period.
