Sending In Money

I receive money for a variety of purposes (lunch money, book orders, etc.) on a daily basis. It is extremely important that you send all money in an envelope with the appropriate information clearly labeled, so that your payments are not lost or confused with someone else's. Please provide the following information every time you send in money: Child's First and Last Name, Purpose of Payment (example-lunch money), Amount of Payment, Teacher Name. Do not give your child money; send money in a sealed envelope in the return to school pocket of your child's blue folder.

Birthdays

Birthdays are special occasions for young children. If your child wishes, he/she may bring a treat for the class on their birthday. We will have their special treat during snack time. I will send home invitations to your child's birthday party if you wish, however only if every student in the class is invited or all children in our class that are the same gender as your child (if your child is a boy, invitations to all of the boys in our class). I will not give parent phone numbers or email addresses out for invitation purposes.

Children need plenty of opportunities to read independently.  Sufficient time and appropriate materials are necessary to develop and strengthen reading abilities.  By giving the children time to read both at school and at home, we can work together to provide a literature-rich environment and a life-long love of reading. I will send paper readers from SuperKids; please keep these so your child can re-read them.
